Product Description
kitchenaid Model KFP750 Food Processor is a powerful and durable tool for creative cooking. This model is powered by a 700-Watt motor for the most demanding jobs and comes complete with a large 12-Cup work bowl, 4-Cup mini bowl, a tall feed tube, and assortment of standard accessories.
My previous food processor of almost 10 years broke and I have been unable to repair so decided on the KitchenAid food processor.
The bowl, top and base are sturdy and durable (also translates into heavy). This one comes with a smaller bowl as well as the larger so it's perfectly usable for both large and small jobs. I have not had a chance to use all the attachments. The standard cutting blade works well. I had some half frozen cooked chicken and veggies that were pulverized easily for making great dog food! I was surprised with the ease that it cut through the frozen chunks!
The motor is pretty quiet, and I look forward to using more of the attachments and accessories, overall it does exactly what I need.
This is my second food processor model from KitchenAid. The first one, after destroying itself on a simple shredding operation, I opted to not replace as I didn't like some of the design features. I went with this model because of the larger capacity feed tube. It doesn't come with as many of the accessories as other models (like the medium bowl or the whip attachment), but otherwise fits most food processing needs I have. I do agree with others that the liquid capacity leaves a lot to be desired, but it's livable.
Less than a year into ownership, it also imploded. A simple chop and something caught under the blade and literally ripped the blade off the attachment, embedded the blade into the wall of the bowl, and jammed the blade attachment onto the spindle so nothing could be removed. It was quite impressive to watch. Two benign actions causing two deaths on two models; I was about to give up on KitchenAid all together. But their book does mention a "hassle free warrantee", and I figured that would be the last test - any issue and I'd move to a different brand. Less than 20 minutes later, the extremely nice customer service rep had a replacement on rush to my home. My new replacement unit's warrantee actually started the day it was shipped, giving it a full year as well. I'm very pleased with the outcome and back to enjoying this food processor.
I had a food processor but it wasn't doing the job of slicing and chopping like I needed. I found this processor on Amazon and bought it. I love it. It is everything and more. I especially like the 12 cup capacity. I found a like food processor at Lowes but it was only 10 cup and what a difference a 12 cup makes, plus it is easy to use and clean and my veggies for a tray turn our perfect. Also it is best machine for making break crumbs. Sounds strange huh, but believe me when I say this model puts my old on to shame, to shame. Linda Z, Vallejo, CA
This food processor is fantastic!! Its easy to use. Its easy to clean. I just opened it up today and chopped carrots, walnuts and mixed frosting with ease. The processor runs quietly. I love it!!
Superb quality product!!
I have been cooking for 30 years and can remember having at least 4 previous food processors. None have performed anywhere close to or as good as this one. After using others for weeks, they usually ended up under the counter and being rarely taken out. Mostly due to the fact that they were a pain to clean and keep all of the accessories together. This one is different. I have had mine for 6 months now and it has been on my countertop every day. It is much more quiet and powerful than others I have had like Cuisinart, and Hamilton Beach. I can't believe how fast it chops. I normally only use the pulse setting just to keep from puréeing the items I am chopping. It handles meat easily to make ground beef. The mini sub-bowl is so easy to clean; I don't hesitate to use it every day. Mine came with a plastic organizer to keep the attachments in which is very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality processor that is reasonably priced.
I've had this food processor for 3 months and have used it at least once a week since. I love it! I have made doughs, grated cheeses, sliced vegetables and potatoes, and pureed tomatoes. I think that it has cut down on my food prep time a lot! There is a limit on how much liquid you can have in the bowl (this is a complaint by other reviewers) but it is well marked on the processor and documented in the manual. If you want to process things with more than 4 cups of liquid, this is NOT the processor for you (and you might want to think about using a blender instead)!
The KitchenAid 700 watt, 12 cup processor was a gift to my daughter who spends a great deal of time in her kitchen. She's also a chef by profession. She's extremely pleased declaring it"awesome", "sweet" and"exactly what I was looking for". With the rich red of her machine, she's cooking on high now.
A KitchenAid food processor is a must have have even for the most novice cook/baker.
Cons: Leakage. I do agree with the other reviews. I've also had leakage with liquid items like vinaigrettes.
With that said, it is absolutely a trusty helper in the kitchen. I use it to process sugar for finer granules, chopping almonds, refining oats, making ganache, slicing veggies, etc etc. I can go on and on about its infinite uses.
I love this product! I have triplets and I was making baby food using my blender! that took A LOT of time! now with this fantastic food processor, I'm done pureeing right away! it works great!!
This processor works very well. Would have given it five stars but it only has one speed with the on button and then it has the pulse button. VERY Quiet.
